Hi, I'm Sadie
A pianist passionate about bringing the beauty of classical music into your home & classroom.
“Each day I look around and see all of us—strangers, friends, family members and myself—all seeking to be ‘heard’ and to ‘hear’ others. All too often, we fall short; verbal communication fails.
Yet amidst all of this, we can rely on music to reach across all cultures, all ages, all times, picking up where words fail and reminding us of our capacity to both listen and speak in one harmonious voice. This is why I teach and play.
Through performance, educational outreach, and pedagogical innovation, I aim to give back the gift of music to as many hearts, homes and halls as possible.”
sadie's STORY
Classical Music instilled a sense of awe and wonder in me, expressed emotions I could not yet articulate, taught me how to listen closely and perceive, and showed me mankind’s great capacity to create beauty, harmony, and order out of life’s experiences.
In Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos I heard all of human life as a complex polyphony of voices capable of forming a unified narrative; in Mozart’s landscape of precision, structure and balance, I understood the beauty of a well ordered life; and in Beethoven’s symphonies, I glimpsed the struggle, resilience and transcendence of humanity in all its glory.
In these works, I encountered the world both within and outside of myself, and it instilled in me my understanding of what it means to be human.
My hope is to give each person that same experience of classical music as a powerful encounter.
